Landmark constructed a 115-unit apartment house with one level of underground parking in historic Georgetown. The Project’s Value was 26 million dollars. The project was awarded in August 2022 and delivered in June 2024.
Construction included a site work phase that addressed the demolition of an existing parking lot and support of excavation to subgrade via sheeting and shoring (piles). The building system included one subgrade parking deck and two transfer slab decks with light gauge panels and pan deck above. The façade of the building is brick and ACM panel to meet the stringent requirements of the Old Georgetown Board. Landmark will also be providing commissioning and post-build building engineering services.
Landmark, as part of the overall contract, conducted site surveys of 9 surrounding buildings and placed seismic monitoring. Landmark also conducted regular inspections of the properties. One of the adjoining commercial properties had to be fully supported by needle shoring and underpinned while it was being used for regular commercial purposes.
